Bricolage Farm and Homestay situated halfway on a hill called Bukit Dinding, a farther 5 km east of Karak town. It is surrounded by greens and nature. Before our visits we were told that the Homestay only provides toothpaste, liquid bath soaps and shampoos as well as detergents. One need to bring own towels, toothbrushes and personal toiletries. Also recommended to bring trek shoes and swimming trunks. Bricolage Farm and Homestay do not use toilet papers due to the fact the one 3 ply roll of toilet paper need 2 kg of wood pulp to make plus various bleaches and chemical sanitizers, scents and or artificial perfumes. Hence, the Homestay practices water bidets. One is also not encouraged to bring lots of plastics and packaging as they want to preserve environmental cleanliness.

Chef TJ briefed us about the rules and regulations that we need to follow during our stay there. He showed us to our rooms. There are 10 guest rooms in total. The rooms would be able to equipped two guests with each having one double bed, standing fan and mosquito netting. Every room is decorated in simple themes such as Hello Kitty, Pirate, Princess and many more. Each of the room is charged at the rate of RM80 per night. However, the rate per night does not include any meals. If guests wish to have their meals at the Homestay, they have to pay for that.

At the upper floor, about 70% of the overall structures are made out of bamboo shoots and wooden planks. It made his house look sustainable, attractive and interesting.

The bathroom on the upper floor was amazing. It made us felt like home. We loved how the sink and the soap holder were made and the overall bathroom was also equally clean and spacious.

Bricolage also has a mini library and resting area. Guests would be able to borrow the books and read and at the same time have a rest on the hammocks.
